The Socially Conscious Geeks Present A Superhero Halloween Party!

Are you a geek in the Toronto Area?
Do you want to give back to your community?
Do you want to be a Superhero?
Are you free this Halloween?

If you answered yes to the above questions, boy do I have a party for you!

The Socially Conscious Geeks present...

POW! CRASH!! WHAMM!!!

The Superheroes, Supervillains & Supervictims Halloween Party!

Ever wanted to dress up like those geeky/cool costumed ladies at the comic conventions? Or take on the persona of a big hulking superhero and save the planet? Then strap on your tights, pin on your cape and adjust your utility belt and come to the big Halloween party!

It'll be on Friday, October 26, between 9pm and 3am, at a gorgeous Yorkville bar called Epique, and the theme for the dress-up code is "Superheroes, Supervillains & Supervictims"

There'll be dancing, spontaneous silliness, prizes, raffles, auctions, 50-50 draws and maybe even a surprise or two!

Advance tickets are $15, $20 at the door. You can buy them at:

http://superheroeshalloween.eventbrite.com/

or pay Tammy Cunningham or Vijay Mehta in cash ahead of time.

And as always, 100% of the profits will go to our charity of choice, and this time, it's Variety Village (click on http://www.varietyvillage.ca/ for more info).

Socially Conscious Geeks is the brain child of my friends Vijay Mehta and Tammy Cunningham, who decided that they wanted to give back to their community and have fun doing it. In the summer they hosted an amazing Star Wars screening to raise money for the Daily Bread Food Bank. It was such a success, that they've decided to try again, this time with a Halloween bash!  Check out the facebook invite here.
I'm lucky enough to have my blog as one of the sponsors for the event and I'm really excited! Not only that, but did you notice that I'm also the poster girl? How cool!
I will be attending (in costume, of course) and providing some prizes for the raffle (and maybe some treats if I have the time)
There will also be great prizes from the local comic book artist Adriana Blake, who writes and draws a comic strip called Fall On Me. It's super cute, so check it out!
Are you intrigued yet? You should be. Come and join us on October 26th to have a rockin' good time and support an awesome cause. You know you want to.
It's going to be Super fun!
